Hold Your Breath
If you want to get rid of hiccups, try taking a deep breath and then holding it. When a build-up of carbon dioxide occurs in the lungs, the diaphragm will eventually relax.

From one glass filled with water, take at least ten sips on a quick pace. When you gulp from your drink, the contractions coming from your esophagus will override your diaphragmatic spasms and in this way, you can get rid of hiccups.

While you are drinking, if you can block your ears at the same time, a better outcome will come out of this. Try sticking your fingers in your ears while you sip water through a straw. By doing this, you are reaping the benefits from swallowing while pressing on your vagus nerve, too.
